• iWish 2026 Survey

This year’s report highlights several important findings. Most notably, 66% of girls identified gender inequality in STEM as the most significant barrier to pursuing a STEM pathway. This was followed by 66% reporting a lack of information about STEM careers, while 61% said they had limited opportunities to engage with female STEM role models through school visits. Disparities in subject availability, particularly for hands-on STEM subjects in single-sex schools, remain a persistent concern.
