Happy Easter, everyone! 🐣🐰
Here's hoping to more sunshine and less snow.
Last month was quite a busy month for me, I lead a workshop on designing inclusive events with Dogpatch Labs, and representing organisations I'm involved with including Coding Grace as part of their Diversity Week. A meetup for meetup organisers, and it was a productive evening and we hope to have more of these to help inform organisers as well as sharing their knowledge with one another.
I also attended the Allyship in Tech workshop that same week and met and talked to some amazing people, and you should watch this video about privilege, it's quite powerful and makes you think about yourself.
Some exciting news, I have been accepted in Picademy programme, and it's their first time coming to Dublin and will be participating in the 2-day workshops this month. After the programme, I will be a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator. And I'm already excited about future Raspberry Pi events like workshops or a Pi Jam! Watch this space.
Here's something that some of you maybe interested in, it's a free event called, Repeal Jam, it is a creative event in support of the campaign to repeal the 8th amendment. We're looking at using games to reach different people who may not be as informed on the referendum or who don't think they're affected by it and folks from all mediums are welcome to join, no game-making experience required. There will be simultaneous events in Dublin and Galway. Places are limited, book your spot at:-
