Coding Grace July 2019 Newsletter

Keep cool this month
Hope folks are enjoying your summer so far? And what have you been learning?
And guess what, Coding Grace's intro to vue.js workshop tickets are available to book, it's going to be hosted by Dogpatch Labs and mentored by the ever amazing Irene Yeriskins. More details below to book the workshop and other details about it. ๐๐๐
I'm always learning about how to improve diversity and inclusion in our events, and see PyCon releasing transparency report this year still means a lot to me, from how they handle incidents, and event checking out their code of conduct, it's something many organisers should take note. It's still sad to still see bad things happening at events, but it's good to see action taken to make sure folks are looked after. Read their report here >>>

I met up with a bunch of friends who just so happen to be educators and makers and all round creative geeks at Lough Boora Discovery Park. A time to chill, talk about various creative projects, I finally got around to write some CircuitPython code on a new device courtesy of Radomir Dopieralski called PewPew, a way to learn to make a game with Python on hardware. Once I get to know it a bit better, and also get updated docs from the creator, I plan on running workshops on it in the near future. And for those who's curious about the creative gathering recently, check out the write up by Mags here.
One more thing... the Raspberry Pi 4 was released recently, and it arrived in the post, I haven't got a chance to play with it, but here's more info about it: https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-4-model-b/ - what are you going to do with yours if you have/planning to get one?

Want to keep this here so folks in and around Wexford can keep up to date with what they are up to.
If you are interested, you can sign up to their newsletter via http://eepurl.com/duzDSf.
