🍂Coding Grace Oct Edition 🍂

This month's fang-tastic Newsletter

It's the spookiest time of the year, and also the busiest

...so apologies for the lateness of our newsletter this month. It's conference season and earlier this month I was at Women in Tech Awards powered by Dublin Tech Summit. Congrats again to all the finalists and winners that event, I had a wonderful time, great company of friends and new faces.

A huge congrats to Zita for running a successful Coding Grace Wexford workshop this month. If you in and around Wexford, she's looking for volunteers to help her out, and spread the word of her events.

As part of EU Code Week, Blanchardstown Library invited me to run an intro to Python workshop on Sat Oct 5th (huge thanks to Michael Twomey for helping me facilitate that morning), and Unplugged Coding session for kids on Tue Oct 8th. There's still activities happening as EU Code Week ends on Oct 20th. I highly recommend folks to get involved next year. More info here >>>

I was also at PyCon Ireland last weekend, and they have announced that they will be back again next November. In the meantime, PyCon Limerick at the end of Feb are looking for speakers in their first timers session (not video-recorded). They are also looking for volunteers for their events and conferences. If you are interested, email contact@python.ie.

This month was also Ada Lovelace Day, did you attend any event this month as part of Ada Lovelace Day? Do share with us. Do you have an idea for Ada Lovelace Day 2020, let us know.

StartupWeek Dublin is happening this month (Oct 21-25). I'm their Maker Track Captain, but there's some thing for everyone from starting with seed idea to diversity, design. If you are curious, you can join us to find out more by checking out the various events here >>>
