Coding Grace Mar 2020 Newsletter

Put a spring in your code ๐ฉโ๐ป
It maybe a Leap year, but March officially marks it spring time and... International Women's Day!
Happy International Women's Day (month)! To all the folks who runs and support women, thank you, it takes a community to make a difference, and let's shout out to all the wonderful people.
With covid-19 virus causing havok everywhere from travels, schools, work and even the various meetups and conferences due to restrictions to public access to various venues, there has been a lot of chatter from various organisers of events big and small to host virtual meetups/conferences. So keep an eye out, this situation has already brought in changes allowing folks who are able to work from home, and take care of the kids (if their schools are closed temporarily), and better use of our technologies to meet virtually. Organisations like PyLadies are organising virtual conference. What do you think? Would you attend virtual events? BTW, I've included a few virtual events of interest below. Enjoy! ๐

๐คHelp us see what you want to learn this year, we will try and organise workshops for you all.
๐คฒWe mentioned this in our newsletter last month. We want to try and make Coding Grace sustainable, our huge expense is our accountant each year. So we are trying out Open Collective and we are open to donations from individuals and corporates. We are not-for-profit and it's wholly volunteer-based running it.
