Coding Grace Nov 2020 Newsletter

Hope everyone is well, it's November already and even though we are heading to darker, colder evenings, good news that restrictions are working.
Plus organisers everywhere are keeping events going, and they are mostly free. And as the busy October has past into November, Coding Grace will continue to keep track of Irish Tech Community and diversity events, opportunities and other announcements for you all.
This month is quite busy with Diversity in Tech events, check our section below, from summits to stories of people's tech journeys, remote working to be absolutely remarkable! ๐คฉ
๐I say this every month, do not forget to support your local organisers who are putting in a lot of effort setting up remote events and even though it opens up to reaching those more remotely, we all are hoping that in-person events will come back at some stage, it will make it all the more special to meet and connect up with new and old faces. The days might get darker earlier but we still have this amazing community supporting each other. ๐

Monthly Regulars
๐ Are you working on a project? Share it with us, I'm happy to have you as a guest blog. Drop me an email at contact@codinggrace.com.
๐BTW, I've started to notice that Irish events listings by organisers on meetup and eventbrite are getting non-Irish events mixed in, so shifting through them takes a wee bit more time. But I hope the curated list of mainly Irish Tech and Diversity in Tech events we have in our monthly newsletter (and our live blog) is of use to you until we figure out how/when we can run our own workshops.
๐ Your Support ๐
๐คWe are still interested in finding out what you are interesting in learning, especially now that we are indoors and would be a great opportunity to learn new skills.
๐คฒWe mentioned this in our newsletter last month. We want to try and make Coding Grace sustainable, our huge expense is our accountant each year. So we are trying out Open Collective and we are open to donations from individuals and corporates. We are not-for-profit and it's wholly volunteer-based running it.

Interview for UL Alumni Week 2020 A huge thanks to folks at UL Alumni Week 2020 for inviting me to tell my story on my journey to where I am right now. ๐ https://ul.site-ym.com/mpage/AWVTL
๐Where am I this month?
I'm not going anywhere, still WFH. I'll still be running virtual PyLadies Dublin meetups. I say this every month... I'm def nearly got the hang of it. ๐ But... I'll be attending the following events:-

- Mon Nov 9 - Sat Nov 14: Dublin Maker: Maker-a-Day at Science Week

In case your are curious, I go through meetup, eventbrite and other places each month to curate events of interest for this newsletter, it takes a lot my time. If you find that this is not useful, let me know. In the meantime, after each newsletter, I'll post more updates on CodingGrace.com blog and do feel free to share events in the comments.
BTW, Startup Digest Dublin also has a great listings of events happening in Dublin.
