February's Newsletter

Springtime's here

It might be bitter cold out, but at least the sun is shining. February will be a quiet month, but we do have some good news for March.

In January, we ran a fun workshop to making your own interactive fiction game with Fungus. I would highly recommend trying Fungus out, it's very accessible and great way to get into making story-driven games with pictures.

We are delighted to have Dr. Natalie Cooper and Kevin O'Brien to run our upcoming workshop "Introduction to data manipulation and visualisation in R" on Sat Mar 7th.

That weekend also coincides with International Women's Day.

And finally a couple of things that might be of interest:

• A few articles and resources I've linked to for February's reading via my pinboard.
• The Queen of Code - a short video about Grace Hopper.

We are open to people hosting local chapters in their area, so do get in touch if you are interested.
